Shaolin Buddhist Temple

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear”

In 1998 Sifu Nick Costello opened a Shaolin Buddhist temple in Slane, the first of its kind outside Hong Kong. The temple include’s a large training hall for Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Chi Gung instruction, also large Feng Shui gardens for meditation and relaxation purposes, and a purpose built chalet offering accommodation for students. The Shaolin Buddhist temple is dedicated to the teachings of traditional Lung Ying kung fu, tai chi, chi gung and meditation. Here, in the green heart of rural Ireland he established the first Lung Ying and Tai Chi Academy. The Academy is a member of the Tai Wo Qi Gong Association, one of the oldest Qi Gong groups in Hong Kong. They are actively involved with many charitable organisations including the Irish Breast cancer association, Special Olympics, Sports Against Racism Ireland (S.A.R.I), SOSAD, Autism Ireland and others.
