Yoga
Yoga is the physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India with a view to attain a state of permanent peace of mind in order to experience one’s true self. Apart from the spiritual goals, the physical postures of yoga are used to alleviate health problems, reduce stress and make the spine supple in contemporary times. Yoga is also used as a complete exercise program and physical therapy routine.
Yoga with Grá
Calm the mind and lighten the spirit
We are all looking for happiness, for peace of mind. I discovered I found peace of mind, body & spirit through yoga practice. Moving with the breath into the body brings a peaceful state of mind like being in nature. I like to teach with love, as my name says, yoga with Grá, teaching from the heart.
Bringing aroma yoga together with hatha adds an essence to the class that activates the sensation of smell bringing a deeper breathing which also enhances the practice by calming the mind and uplifting the spirit. In turn we can Focus, Slow-down & de-stress. In other words pure peace.
Spring is in the air, jump forward into your ‘I can do this’ attitude.
There’s a longer stretch in the evenings, everything seems lighter and brighter. All of nature is stirring now and showing signs of activity after the Winter sleep. Buds are bursting on the trees, Spring flowers are coming out and seeds are germinating. It’s time to brighten our days with Yoga
Dance
Many contemporary dance forms can be traced back to historical, traditional, ceremonial, and ethnic dance. One of the earliest structured uses of dances may have been the telling of myths. Before the invention of written languages, dance was one of the methods of passing stories down from generation to generation. Dance was also used to show feelings for one of the opposite gender. Another early use of dance may have been as a precursor to ecstatic trance states in healing rituals.

“Meditation is like taking a lift to different levels within yourself. It’s a way of exploring the view and getting to know yourself better. To meditate is to become the witness of your life and know that you aren’t the victim of outer circumstances. Guided visualisation is a great method to start learning – all you do is listen and relax each part of your body until you are ready to go on an imaginative journey that will leave you feeling refreshed and lighter to face your day”.
Sound Healing
Music has been used as a healing force for centuries. Apollo is the ancient Greek god of music and of medicine. Aesculapius was said to cure diseases of the mind by using song and music, and music therapy was used in Egyptian temples. Plato said that music affected the emotions and could influence the character of an individual. Aristotle taught that music affects the soul and described music as a force that purified the emotions.
Marta Lyszkiewicz-Toropow
The gong is one of the oldest musical instruments in the world. Based on ancient wisdom, the gongs vibrate at the same frequency as the body allowing the body to heal itself. The sounds and vibrations of the gong create deep relaxation and state of meditation by altering brain waves from a Beta (waking state) to Theta & Delta (deep meditation). Science teaches that during these brain frequencies we access our deeper subconscious and superconscious and they are key states for healing.

Tai Chi
“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art and exercise system that draws on the philosophy of Taoism. Good health depends on harmony and balance. The health benefits that come from practicing Tai Chi are derived from balancing the internal polarities (the Taoist principles of Yin and Yang) within the human body. The discipline’s slow, gentle and tranquil movements help to stimulate the flow of internal energy
