  • Dublin Community Circus

    Dublin Community Circus

The Dublin Community Circus officially began 4 months ago as a group of Circus Arts practitioners from all over Co. Dublin operating out of the Grainstore Youth arts center in Cabinteely. Their aim is to bring together local Circus artists/practitioners of all ages to put together a core team who will promote Circus as an alternative form of exercise & physical education. They aim to bring Circus Skills to schools, community centers and youth groups across the county, to develop and promote Circus Arts as an innovative and non-competitive activity.
They work closely with the Galway Community Circus who have been operating successfully for over ten years and teach a broad selection of disciplines to young children, toddlers and adults. They also provide a number of Outreach Programmes to the wider community.
Both organisations are non-profit and operate on government and private funding sources. Any money raised goes towards necessary fees, rent and equipment costs. They hope to collect enough to help other arts groups who may also be struggling.
Keep an eye on the map section of the website for their exact location Dublin festival, so you can stalk them out and get stilting! We know where we’ll be spending our lunch break!
